U.E.T. Elite Final: Go On Boy & Don Fanucci Zet lead strong field
The European final for the best horses on our continent. The group 1 final has €500,000 in prize money. Throughout the year, horses could score points to qualify for the final.
With three 10-year-old horses in this field, it shows the depth and quality we have throughout Europe, and that we can praise ourselves for the longevity of our horses.
Still, they’ll have to face off with some of the best upcoming young talents in Europe, incredibly fast finishers and strong, consistent performers.
Although we’ve some big names missing, like Idao de Tillard, Inexess Bleu, Epic Kronos and Diva EK, it still promises to be an excellent final.

The race is scheduled for 18:15 this Sunday.
Harley Gema - Alan Gendrot
Has hit a rough path after some big performances early 2026. The position behind the gate doesn't suit her and could make it difficult for her to use her speed to its full potential.
Go On Boy - Romain Derieux
The 10-year old who keeps collecting big victories. It seems like he’s getting better every race. His trainer explains the age is just a number; Go On Boy likes his job and is still very young mentally. The 2025 Elitloppet winner, French-record holder (1’07’’3 over 1609m) and multiple group 1 winner throughout Europe. He most recently won the Prix de Wallonie in Mons for the third time, having also won the race in 2022 and 2024. Go On Boy is starting from a preferable position, even if he isn’t the fastest starter himself. He’ll be able to get a nice position to use his closing speed.
Don Fanucci Zet - Örjan Kihlström
One of the best Swedish horses in recent times. The 10-year-old has incredible character and refuses to go down without a fight. Has been part of the elite for the biggest part of his career and still looks fresh and eager to race.
Don Fanucci Zet is great behind the gate and will benefit from being close to the front early. He’s looking for the ultimate redemption, having only beaten Go On Boy once, in the Prix de France 2023, where he finished fifth and Go On Boy was disqualified.
Free Time Jepson - Andrea Guzzinati
The Gran Premio Lotteria winner, who continued to do well at Vincennes and missed out on beating Idao de Tillard by only a nose. An incredibly strong finisher who has shown he can compete with the best. Looks to have been prepared for this race.
Frank Gio - Matthieu Abrivard
The fourth placer in this year’s Prix d’Amérique. Has been an honest and consistent performer throughout his career, especially taking bigger victories against his generation. Still looking for his breakthrough victory against the elite. After finishing second in the Gran Premio Lotteria, he returned from a four-month break in Mons with a fourth place.
Frank Gio is strong but his cards definitely lie in his closing speed; without a doubt one of, if not the, fastest finisher in the field.
Krack Time Atout - Franck Nivard
Has struggled with injuries since September 2025 and for a long time it didn’t look like he’d ever get back to his best. Managed to grab a victory in a lower-class race at Laval in August, which definitely has helped his spirits. Finished third in Mons with a good finish. Remains an outsider in a strong field. If he’s truly on the rise, he’ll be in contention for the places.
Daim Brodda - Eirik Hoïtomt
Inconsistent in form but incredibly capable on her best day. She has shown before that she can compete against similar opposition and finish strongly. If she can turn the unlucky draw into a good trip, she’s capable of battling for the places.
Always EK - Alessandro Gocciadoro
The third 10-year-old in this field and is visibly struggling the most out of them. Won against similar horses in April, but his performances have been on and off before and after that race. If he is as good as he was in April, racing from number eight and even the death seat is not a problem, but there are no indications he’s close to that form.
Powwow - Carl Johan Jepson
A consistent performer but often takes the smaller places. An interesting driver change which might help him push a little further than usual. He’s used to racing from behind and using his speed late in the race. An outsider.
Luke the Spook -Adrian Kolgini
His fourth place in the H.K.H Prins Daniels Lopp put him on the map earlier this year, as he had no room to race and finished with plenty left. He has been both consistent and reliable throughout the year and has shown he belongs in this company. Despite the post position, he can be an interesting challenger.
Dubhe Prav - Santo Mollo
Among the better horses in Italy, being able to collect wins throughout the year. Will meet the best horses of Europe for the first time and looks to be out of his depth from number 11.
Kentucky River - Magnus Djuse
Although mostly consistent in all his races, he struggles to take home a win. Is used to racing against big names, but it looks like he’ll have to compete for the places once again.
