I’m Kirsten Petersen, a writer, analyst and content creator from the Netherlands, with a lifelong connection to horses and trotting.
 

I grew up around the sport through my dad, who worked as a professional trainer and driver. His passion for racing and, above all, his care for the horses shaped the way I view the sport. Growing up around the stables and the races gave me an understanding of trotting that goes beyond the results, and a connection to the people and horses who make it what it is.
 

Although I share that same love for the sport, I found my own way of being part of it. Where my dad was in the sulky and at the stables, I found my place behind the camera and through writing. I enjoy following the sport closely, looking beyond the results and capturing the stories, performances and people that make each race worth watching.
 

Today, my work brings together writing, analyses and content creation, covering trotting across Europe. But in the end, it all comes from the same place:

A love for the horses, the sport and the stories within it.
 

For me, it’s about finding my own way to contribute to a sport I’ve grown up with, while helping others see what makes it so special.
 

I believe there is always more we can do for the sport together. I’m always open to new ideas, conversations and collaborations with people who share a passion for trotting and want to see it grow.
