Big names in the Gold Division & Giant Diablos Lopp

The Gold Division features interesting horses, all with different strengths. Ready Star, Charron and Boscha Diablo are among the names to look out for, but there are several others who could get involved. The post positions might be the deciding factor here.

In the Giant Diablos Lopp, post positions are based on earnings. The horse with the lowest earnings gets post 1, then following this order: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 7, 11, 8, 12. This means the likely favorites of this race will start from a more difficult starting position, giving the horses with smaller earnings a chance at challenging the likes of La Yuca, Clarissa and Betting Pacer. The Gold Division will start at 15:22, followed by the Giant Diablos Lopp at 15:44 on Saturday.

Ready Star was an incredible second in the Olle Goops Pokal behind A Fair Day, running 1’11’’6 over 2640m. An incredibly consistent and fast horse, he now gets another chance against the horses in the Gold Division. His gatespeed will help him get in a good position early.

Charron comes into the race fresh off a win in Norway. He has been getting back in his best shape. His capabilities are clear. A nice post position should help him put him in a great spot.

Boscha Diablo is at his best over the shorter distances and will be back in his element in this race. One to look out for.

Public favorite Barack Face will try to impress again. Coming from behind is not a problem for him and he will have to rely on his finishing speed.

Jerka Sting is reliable and one for the tickets, but will struggle to compete for the victory. Very strong in his last race with a 1’08’’3 over the last 700m. Post position should put him in a nice position.

Makalu Doc is looking for his form again and needs to show more here to be considered among the main contenders. The post position will be a challenge in this field.

Call Me Gleipner has been consistent and is in form, but a tougher draw might make it difficult for him here.

Izod Zet can start well but might find early competition in both Charron and Ready Star. Due to his inconsistency, not a direct contender for victory.

Before Takeoff has put together some incredible personal bests, but hasn’t been able to translate those performances into a victory in a bigger race. Up against it here from a post position that will not work in favor of a fast starter.

La Yuca comes into the race after winning the Ingelas Pokal on September 26. Always reliable and consistent, and although starting from behind, she should be able to fight for the podium. Able to put in the work or finish fast.

Betting Pacer is this year’s winner of the European Championships for Mares and was an excellent fourth in New York. A mare with unbelievable character, but often finds herself in tough racing conditions. No matter the race, she’ll be up there to compete like always.

Clarissa has been a true force to be reckoned with in Sweden. The Italian-trained mare finished second on August 19 and wasn’t able to compete in the Sundsvall Open Trot on August 29 as she was lame. She returns here with a small question mark behind her form. Will she be able to grab the lead from 8?

Nilla Lane is an incredibly fast starter, and even from post 7 she might find herself in the lead to take the favored position against big names.

Gosa Gosing and Monkey Wine have been doing well and are looking for a breakthrough against bigger names. While Gosa Gosing will be able to profit from an inside draw, Monkey Wine will have a tougher task ahead of her.
